This large vase was thrown on the wheel in sections, then altered as it was being built, by manipulating, tearing and incising into the clay. The piece was glazed first with a coarse glaze made with fireplace ash and copper oxide, then after the bisc firing, a second copper glaze was applied which melts forming rivulets containing beautiful, orange streaks and speckles.

Designed primarily as a decorative piece, the vase will hold water up to a point, that point being the first hole in the side about five inches from the base! The inside is coated with a white dolomite glaze.

Measures approx. 36 cms in height and around 16 cms across the base.

Postage and packing within the UK is free for this item.
